Mobile Health Services in Tribal Areas
Mobile Health Services in Jhinkpani Block of West Singhbhum District, Jharkhand
Since last three years we have been taking care of 26
villages of Jhinkpani block where tribal population is
comparatively more. We are having our own vehicle with
necessary pathological facilities and medicines. Two paramedical staff usually accompany the Doctor visit
the
identified villages twice in a week for health check-up and
free medicine distribution.
Last year the medical team visited all identified villages
and checked about 1260 patients. A total number of 62
patients with critical conditions were shifted to district
main hospital for treatment. This year also we have
planned to submit on-line proposal in the ministry of
MOTA for release of grant-in-aid.
Mobile Health Services in Sareikela Block of Sareikela Kharswan District, Jharkhand
The tribal population is more in Sareikela block than other blocks of Sareikela Kharswan district. There
are no health
services facilities in distant tribal villages. They are
economically so poor that hardly they visit hospital for their
treatment. They usually depend on superstition methods for
treatment. However, our two years regular visit to tribal
villages along with doctor and medicines have developed
faith among the tribals. Presently when our Mobile
Dispensary vehicles enter any villages the tribal people ran
before the vehicle for their health check-up and take free
medicines. Last year we have checked 1170 patients and 52
cases were referred to district hospital for further check-up.
